1. A vessel from which wine is drunk.
2. (figurative) The consumption of alcohol; drinking; alcohol as a drink.

使用する際の注意点

In reference to a wine vessel, usually used when the cup is not glass, to deliberately imply that it is old, or to make the prose seem archaic.
