automower (plural automowers)

1. (uncommon) An automatic lawnmower, especially (in later use) one that is robotic.
   • 1901, Report of the Commissioner-general for the United States to the International Universal Exposition, Paris, 1900, volume III, page 490:

     The McCormick Harvesting Machine Company […] had on exhibition at its building at Parc Vincennes an automower […] It cut the grass with the greatest of ease […]

     Note, this device was what would be described today as a ride-on mower.

     Similarly, there would seem to be nothing requiring owners of Husqvarna automowers to move from window to window in their houses to observe the automatic lawnmower as it leaves its loading dock and starts mowing the lawn.

使用する際の注意点

The capitalised form Automower is a brand name of Husqvarna robotic lawnmowers, but the general term long predates Husqvarna's entry into the market (see 1901 quotation above).
