２　この法律で「規格」とは、農林物資の品質（その形状、寸法、量目又は荷造り、包装等の条件を含む。以下同じ。）についての基準及びその品質に関する表示（名称及び原産地の表示を含み、栄養成分の表示を除く。以下同じ。）の基準をいう。例文帳に追加

ホ　添加物（栄養強化の目的で使用されるもの、加工助剤（食品の加工の際に添加される物であつて、当該食品の完成前に除去されるもの、当該食品の原材料に起因してその食品中に通常含まれる成分と同じ成分に変えられ、かつ、その成分の量を明らかに増加させるものではないもの又は当該食品中に含まれる量が少なく、かつ、その成分による影響を当該食品に及ぼさないものをいう。）及びキャリーオーバー（食品の原材料の製造又は加工の過程において使用され、かつ、当該食品の製造又は加工の過程において使用されない物であつて、当該食品中には当該物が効果を発揮することができる量より少ない量しか含まれていないものをいう。）を除く。以下ホにおいて同じ。）であつて別表第五の中欄に掲げる物として使用されるものを含む食品にあつては、当該添加物を含む旨及び同表当該下欄に掲げる表示並びにその他の添加物を含む食品にあつては、当該添加物を含む旨例文帳に追加

(e) For food containing additives (excluding those used for nutrient enrichment, processing aids (meaning substances which are added to food during the processing process and which are removed before the completion of said food or which are changed by some of the raw materials of said food into ingredients such as those generally contained in said food without causing an evident increase in the total quantity of the ingredients, or ingredients whose quantity is so small as to have little impact on said food), and carryover (meaning substances which are used in the process of producing or processing the raw materials of food but are not used in the process of producing or processing said food and whose quantity is not large enough to impact on said food); hereinafter the same shall apply in (e)) which are used as listed in the middle columns of appended table 5: the fact that said additives are contained and the labeling listed in the relevant right hand columns of the same table.
