Altreich or Altes Reich ("Old Empire") is a German term that may refer to:

• In Nazi terminology, those territories that were part of Nazi Germany before 1938. The term thus encompasses the German state as specified in the Versailles Treaty and the Territory of the Saar Basin, which was re-integrated into Germany in 1935. It excludes Austria ("Ostmark"), the Sudetenland, the Memel Territory, the Free City of Danzig, and all other territories annexed after 1937.
• A synonym for the Holy Roman Empire by modern German historical writing.
• A synonym for the Austrian Empire as well as Austria-Hungary by Austrian historians.
