Vada balijaとは 意味・読み方・使い方

Vada balija is a caste widely found in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Actually it is Voda balija but not Vada balija. The ancestors used to be as ship captains. They are ship navigators and in those days navigation is done by captains. So due to this they were skilled in trading. You may know from past to future trading takes the top position. Kings used to be fond of traders as they eagerly wait for all types of luxurious items to come to their kingdom. Even i heard Sri krishnadevaraya was also from this caste and i hope that's why he gave importance to traders.So their used to be diamond and pearls sold out in markets as vegetables during his ruling. This is close to jalari or fisherman community. These two castes are inter-dependable in their daily duties from long back.
