1. (anatomy, rare) The anus, rectum, or buttocks of a human.
   • 1953, Jack Woodford, Writer's Cramp, page 35:

2. (zoology, rare) The rear end of any animal.

     Ligament which stretches over the surface of the uterus, running obliquely from the podex to the raceme.
