Adat (Arabic عادة ʿādah) in Indonesian-Malay culture is the set of cultural norms, values, customs and practices found among specific ethnic groups in Indonesia and Malaysia. For instance pakaian adat, or adat clothes, refers to the traditional clothing of a specific people.
