Roman Britain(history)

1. The period of British history during which the island of Britain was occupied by Roman forces, i.e. from AD 43 to AD 410.
2. The Roman province established by the occupation of Britain.

使用する際の注意点

The Roman invasion largely failed to penetrate Caledonia (now Scotland), with northern borders temporarily marked first by Hadrian's Wall and then the Antonine Wall (though de facto control of areas so far north was rather limited), such that “Roman Britain” refers only to the rest of the island to the south, known to the Romans as Britannia.
