語源

    Ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *reh₁g- (to smell). De Vaan derives it as a denominative verb in -ō, -āre from a hypothetical Italic adjective *fragros, itself from *rhg-ro-, from *reh₁g- +‎ *-ro-.
