1. (informal, rhetorical question, impolite) Used to indicate indifference, often as a reply to an unimportant or irrelevant statement.

   Synonyms: big deal, meh, whatever, who cares, whoopee do, what of it

   I lost my red shoes. – So what? Get a new pair.
