InuYasha (character)とは 意味・読み方・使い方

InuYasha (犬夜叉^?) is a fictional character of manga and anime series InuYasha created by Rumiko Takahasi. The "inu" in the first part of his name comes from the Japanese word "inu", meaning dog. The "yasha" possibly comes from "yaksha", which is a natural spirit in Buddhism. He is the titular character and story's main protagonist. InuYasha is first introduced being pinned to a sacred tree by his lover Kikyo by an arrow after attempting to steal Shikon No Tama. InuYasha is pinned onto the tree for fifty years. After being freed let loose from the tree by a young girl named Kagome who unknowingly carried the Shikon No Tama who first mistakes him as a half-cat breed after spotting his canine like ears, after freeing him he mistakes her to Kikyo due to their very similar appearances. After realizing the jewel has been shattered they team up to recover it and find themselves in adventures and perils while befriending allies and making enemies.
