1. Synonym of d with stroke (“Đ/đ”).

     đ (or barred d) is the only consonant modified by a diacritical mark.

2. (rare) Synonym of eth (“Ð/ð”).
   • 1920, Wilfrid Perrett, Peetickay: An Essay Towards the Abolition of Spelling, page 51:

     The voiceless fricative represented by the two letters th in thin is given by the old English runic letter Thorn (spina), þ, while its voiced counterpart in then is the corresponding barred d, ð.
