「cherry blossom」は、日本の桜の花を指す英語表現である。一般的には、桜の花が咲く季節や桜の花見を連想させ、日本の春の象徴とも言える。ただし、日本独特の桜の文化や風情を全て含んでいるわけではない。

これらはそれぞれ、「見ること、祭り、季節、咲く、木」を意味する。
