Tinman is the alias of British House music producer / remixer, Paul Dakeyne. In 1994, his single "Eighteen Strings" also written as "18 Strings", became an international club hit. It is rumored that the original bootleg recording of "Eighteen Strings" contained a sample of the riff from "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, and that the usage of the sample was disallowed, therefore the guitar riff in "Eighteen Strings" was reproduced for commercial release. However, the riff from the bootleg recording and the riff contained in the commercial release of "Eighteen Strings" were both produced by Dakeyne. "Eighteen Strings" was the theme song to the Australian radio show, Martin/Molloy.
