From suicide +‎ -ism.

Suicidism (sense 2) was coined by Canadian academic Alexandre Baril by queer, trans, disability and critical suicidology scholar Alexandre Baril in 2016, who published the concept and theoretical framework for the first time 2018 in the periodical Criminologie. Suicidism has since been expanded and further developed in later publications such as in the Disability Studies Quarterly (2020) and the book Undoing Suicidism: A Trans, Queer, Crip Approach to Rethinking (Assisted) Suicide (2023).
