Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) is a comprehensive community college with its main campus in Springfield, IL. The LLCC district is the largest in the state and covers all or parts of 15 counties. LLCC also offers classes and services at locations including LLCC-Springfield East, LLCC Aviation Center, Capital City Training Center (all in Springfield); LLCC-Jacksonville, LLCC-Beardstown, LLCC-Taylorville, LLCC-Litchfield and Hillsboro. In addition, the college sponsors the Illinois Small Business Development Center at LLCC. Students of all ages attend LLCC. Dual credit and dual enrollment classes are available to high school students. After graduation, students can earn a two-year associate degree that transfers to a four-year university, or choose training in many career fields. LLCC welcomes many non-traditional aged students who are returning to the classroom for a degree or new career. Lifelong learning is available through a vibrant Community Education department that features non-credit classes, trips and College for Kids. Adult Education, Literacy and English as a Second Language programs are also offered. LLCC will soon open three new facilities: the A. Lincoln Commons student center and Taylorville Classroom Building in spring 2011, and the 80,000-square-foot Workforce Careers Center in spring 2012. Current tuition and fees are $94 per credit hour for in-district students (some programs have a variable tuition rate) with financial aid and scholarships available. The college invites prospective students and families to Campus Visit Days and Open Houses throughout the year, or individuals may contact the college for a personal tour.
