Richard Michael Cockayne Frith (born 8 April 1949) is the current Bishop of Hull. Born into a clerical family, he was educated at Marlborough and Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. After a period of study at St John's College, Nottingham he was ordained a deacon in 1974 and a priest in 1975 and began his career with a curacy at Mortlake after which he was Vicar of Thamesmead. Following this he was Rector of Keynsham and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Taunton from 1992. A keen cricket fan, Bishop Richard was divorced in 1999 and has since remarried.
