Fix Events & Fightclub Group presents: It's Showtime 2011 was a kickboxing event promoted by the It's Showtime organization. The event was held at the Palacio de Deportes in Madrid, Spain on Saturday, 18 June, 2011 in front of a full house of 8,000 spectators. It the 51st event to be held by the It's Showtime organization and the first ever to be held in Spain, although initially the event was to be held in Russia and a 70MAX tournament was to take place but this was postphoned (and later moved to the Brussels event in September, 2011) due to as of yet, undetermined circumstances. The Madrid card was divided into two parts with the undercard involving three fights primarily between Spanish fighters, while the main card involved five super fights and a world title fight, with all fights fought under It's Showtime (K-1) rules and all the main card bouts involving local based fighters against foreign competition. The world title match was for the It's Showtime 61MAX belt between champion Karim Bennoui making his first defense of his title, and unheralded challenger Javier Hernandez. It is worth noting that the original fight card did change by the final dare due to several cancellations, with Murthel Groenhart coming in to replace William Diender at short notice (after having fought only just the previous week at the It's Showtime event in Warsaw). In total there eighteen fighters at the event, representing seven countries, with weight classes ranging from 61 kg/134.2 lbs to over 95 kg/209 lbs).
