ordinary (life) insurance [policy]

普通（生命）保険((米国ではgroup life insurance/industrial insurance に対する用語で，個人保険のすべての種類を含む．定期保険 term life insuranceと長期生命保険 permanent life insuranceの2つに分類される．ULIはpermanent life insuranceに，WLはterm life insuranceに入る．米国のordinary life insuranceは，第二次世界大戦後から 50年間に生命保険の主要プロモーター的な現象で成長してきた．すなわち，1.まず'46〜'55 年間（貯蓄奨励税制期）にはordinary life pension trust，2.次いで'56〜'68 年間（ベビーブーム期）はfamily policy，3.'69〜'80 年間（インフレ/低金利期）はVL，4.'81〜'83 年間（ライフスタイル運動期）は「非喫煙者保険料率 nonsmoker rate」と「非喫煙者保険 nonsmoker distinct policy」，5.'84〜'92 年間（超高金利期）はVUL，6.'93 年以後（人口の高齢化期）は生残者保険 survivor life insurance の時代にある，と分析されている．なおAM ベスト社のデータではordinary life insuranceを個別individual/団体 groupに分けている．一方，豪州では，superannuation 以外の生命保険はすべてordinary life insuranceである；≒individual life insurance, 《英》ordinary long term insurance；⇔《米》group life insurance；⇒《米》family policy, 《米》group ordinary life insurance, 《米》individual ordinary life insurance, 《米》ordinary life pension trust, permanent life insurance, 《米》survivorship life insurance, 《米》term life insurance, 《米》UL, 《米》VUL, 《米》WL))
