語源
Borrowed from Late Latin acephalus, from Ancient Greek ἀκέφαλος (aképhalos, “headless”), apparently referring to the various movements’ refusals to accept the decisions of church councils.

The followers of an Acephali organisation are called acephalites, however this usage eventually morphed into a synonm for Acephali.
