「equal」は、数値や量、品質などが同じであることを指す。数学的な文脈でよく使われるが、社会的な平等を表す際にも使用される。

「identical」は、全く同じであること、一致していることを表す。見た目や特性が全く同じであることを指す。
twins(双子)、results(結果)、features(特徴)など。
