From Ancient Greek ῥηματικός (rhēmatikós, verbal, pertaining to verbs), from Ancient Greek ῥηματ- (rhēmat-), ῥῆμα (rhêma, verb (grammar), word) + -ικός (-ikós, -ic; suffix meaningof or pertaining to, in the manner of).
