The "Japanesque Modern" Committee led by the private sectors was set up in January 2007 to facilitate the implementation of the action plan. Major activities of the committee include sponsoring various seminars in Japan and abroad and proposing ways to express Japan's cultural values through the existing products and content, convergence of such products and content with advanced technology, and application of such products and content to the modern life.
