「feel」という単語は、個人の直感や感覚を表す際に用いられる。主観的な感じや思い込みを伝える際に適しており、確証がないが何となくそう思う、という状況で使われることが多い。

・I feel like it's going to rain today.(今日は雨が降りそうな気がする。)
・She feels that he is not telling the truth.(彼女は彼が本当のことを言っていないと感じている。)
・I can't explain why, but I just feel that this is the right decision.(なぜか説明できないが、これが正しい決断だと感じている。)
「have the impression」は、ある事柄についての印象や感触を述べる際に使用される表現である。これは、直接的な証拠はないものの、経験や観察からくるある程度の確信を含んでいることが多い。

・I have the impression that the project will be delayed.(プロジェクトが遅れるような印象を受けている。)
・He had the impression that she was upset, although she didn't say anything.(彼女は何も言わなかったが、彼は彼女が怒っているような印象を受けた。)
・They have the impression that the new policy will not work as intended.(新しい方針が意図した通りに機能しないような印象を彼らは持っている。)
「seem」は、何かがある方法であるかのように見える、しかし必ずしもそうであるとは限らない場合に用いられる。外見上の印象や、ある状況に対する解釈を示す際に適している。

・This seems to be the most popular choice among customers.(これが顧客の間で最も人気のある選択のようだ。)
