     Ch’en-ts'ang, an ancient name for Tang Feng-hsiang, the modern Pao-chi (Precious Pheasant) county, Shensi. The name derives from the story Wei alludes to: In ancient times, Duke Wen of Ch'in was hunting at Ch'en-ts’ang and encountered the magic bird on the north slope of Ch'en-ts'ang Mountain. It seemed like a stone and was the color of liver. When he returned, he sacrificed to it.
