At least one rare poetic syncopated perfect form is attested.
Compare Old Irish moth (“male organ”). Weiss 1996 proposes a derivation from a Proto-Indo-European *mewH- (“to be abundant, reproductively powerful”), with Ancient Greek μῡρῐ́ος (mūrĭ́os) as a cognate.
