Longitude (
/ˈlɒndʒɨtjuːd/ or /ˈlɒŋɡɨtjuːd/) is a geographic coordinate that specifies the east-west position of a point on the Earth's surface. It is an angular measurement, usually expressed in degrees, minutes and seconds, and denoted by the Greek letter lambda (λ).
