1. (slang, derogatory, often imperative) To overcome reluctance to say something particular or to speak in general.

   Synonym: out with it (synonymous when both are used imperatively)

   Antonyms: beat around the bush; gild the pill, sugarcoat the pill; obfuscate

   – Sir, I... I... er...
   – Come on, man! Spit it out!
