In the United States, I had a frank exchange of opinions with Chairman Cox on this matter. I understand that the U.S. stance on this matter is basically the same as the Japanese stance. The EU is scheduled to conclude its equivalence assessment of accounting standards by the end of the year. As this deadline is approaching, convergence has emerged as a top priority matter.
