Cognate with Ancient Greek ἀπολαύω (apolaúō, “to enjoy”), λείᾱ (leíā), Sanskrit लोत्र (lotra, “booty”), German Lohn (“reward, wages”), Gothic 𐌻𐌰𐌿𐌽 (laun).
