From Spanish otro (“other”) +‎ -vert, from Latin vertere (“to turn”). Coined by American psychiatrist Rami Kaminski in 2025.

1. (psychology, neologism) A person who is unable to feel a connection to social groups or collectives, as distinct from both an introvert and an extrovert.
