JOP (plural JOPs)

1. (fandom slang) A foreign fan of Japanese works who speaks Japanese and experiences them in Japanese. Often bragging about the fact. Seen by many as elitist.

Like Jesus christ, everyone here is a nerd but those guys are fucking weird on another level of its own it’s scary.      After over a decade of naively believing the JOP circle jerk I finally played Baldr Sky and I thought it was just alright. I've never been a fan of criticizing a game because it did this instead of that but I feel like Baldr Sky was a long series of missed opportunities and wasted potential. I feel like it has a really interesting setting which is left mostly unexplored and seems to exist only as the backdrop for another tired plot twist driven anime melodrama, and whenever a genuinely interesting question is raised the game hurriedly throws the most pedestrian take possible at it so it can go back to focusing on VR mecha fights and mediocre romance.
