語源
From the Hanyu Pinyin romanization of the Mandarin 左權 / 左权 (Zuǒquán, literally “Zuo Quan”), a general in the Chinese Red Army who died in 1942.
For the name of the county, the correct standard formatting of the Hanyu Pinyin romanization is Zuǒquán Xiàn and is not Zuǒ Quán Xiàn. The 1984 rule states that when a person's name is used in a place name, the surname and given name in the place name are joined together without a space between them. The rule gives Zuoquan County as an example application for the rule.
