第二十六条　法務大臣は、本邦に在留する外国人（仮上陸の許可を受けている者及び第十四条から第十八条までに規定する上陸の許可を受けている者を除く。）がその在留期間（在留期間の定めのない者にあつては、本邦に在留し得る期間）の満了の日以前に本邦に再び入国する意図をもつて出国しようとするときは、法務省令で定める手続により、その者の申請に基づき、再入国の許可を与えることができる。この場合において、法務大臣は、その者の申請に基づき、相当と認めるときは、当該許可を数次再入国の許可とすることができる。例文帳に追加

Article 26 (1) The Minister of Justice may grant re-entry permission to an alien in accordance with the procedures provided for by a Ministry of Justice ordinance upon an application from an alien residing in Japan (except for those who have received permission for provisional landing and those who have received the permission for landing provided for in Articles 14 to 18) and is to depart from Japan with the intention of re-entering Japan prior to the date of expiration of his/her period of stay (or the period within which he/her is eligible to stay in cases where he/she has no fixed period of stay).
