fix up (third-person singular simple present fixes up, present participle fixing up, simple past and past participle fixed up)

1. (informal, ambitransitive) To provide (someone) with something; to furnish.

   I need someone to fix me up with a tent and some camping gear.

2. (transitive, usually with with) To set up a date or to introduce people, especially with the intention of a possible romantic or sexual coupling.

5. (slang, MLE) To get one's act together; to sort oneself out.

6. (slang, dated) To settle up with; reimburse.

7. (slang, transitive) To get an abortion; to procure an abortion for someone.
8. (slang, intransitive) To do a dose of a drug, especially heroin; to provide a drug (often alcoholic drink) to someone addicted to it.
