Getaway is Australia's longest-running and most popular holiday and travel television programme. Debuting on 14 May 1992, it is currently broadcast on the Nine Network and W. Its main competitor was The Great Outdoors on the Seven Network until 2009. A New Zealand version of the programme, with some local content, has previously been broadcast on TV One and Prime TV.
