第55条の規定の適用上，パリ条約又は世界貿易機関加盟国の紋章(国旗は除く)及び公の標識又は印章は，次の場合又は範囲に限り，パリ条約又は世界貿易機関協定(場合によって)に基づいて保護されるものとみなす。当該国はパリ条約第6条の規定に従い，ブルネイ・ダルサラーム国に対して，その紋章，標識又は印章を保護するよう求める旨を通知した場合，その通達が有効である場合，及び，第6条の規定に従い，基づき，ブルネイ・ダルサラーム国が，その通達に異議を申し立てていない又は当該異議が取り下げられている場合，第56条の規定の適用上，同条に適用する機関の紋章，略称と名称は，次の場合又は範囲に限り，パリ条約又は世界貿易機関協定に基づき保護されるものとみなす。当該機関がパリ条約第6条の3の規定に従い，その紋章，略称又は名称を保護するよう求める旨をブルネイ・ダルサラーム国に対し通達した場合，その通達が有効である場合，及び，パリ条約第6条の3の規定に従い，ブルネイ・ダルサラーム国がその通達に異議を申し立てていない又は当該異議が取り下げられている場合。 - 特許庁
