Wiktionary英語版での「Mi no」の意味 |
-mino
出典:『Wiktionary』 (2026/01/04 18:43 UTC 版)
語源
Uncertain; from Proto-Italic *-menō. Traditionally understood as a contamination of -minī (2nd-person plural passive ending) with -tō (2nd/3rd-person singular future active imperative ending). Alternatively, ultimately from an inflected form of Proto-Indo-European *-mh₁nos (“mediopassive participle”). Cognate with Umbrian -mu (e.g., Umbrian 𐌀𐌌𐌐𐌀𐌓𐌉𐌇𐌌𐌖 (amparihmu)) and Oscan -mo, syncopated from Sabellic *-mno, itself from Proto-Italic *-menō.

-
He is a native of East India and its adjacent islands, but the high estimation in which the Mino is held amongst the natives, and the ready sale which promising specimens realise (the equivalent of £2 being often paid in India) render it difficult to obtain a really good bird in England except at an extravagant price.
