語源

From Middle English and Old French oltrage (“excess”), from Late Latin *ultragium or *ultraticum ("a going beyond") and from Latin ultra (“beyond”); rather than from out and rage. The verb is from Old French oltragier.

OutRage! is a British LGBT rights group that was formed to fight for equal rights of lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGBT) people in comparison to heterosexual people. It is a group which has at times been criticised for outing individuals who wanted to keep their homosexuality secret and for being extremist; members have been arrested in the course of some OutRage! actions. Membership has declined from its early 1990s heyday, though OutRage! remains active.
