裁判例としては、自動車整備用に日本国内における実在する四輪自動車に関する一定の情報を収集したデータベースについて、その情報の選択が通常選択されるべき項目であり、情報の選択については創作性を有するとは認められず、また、情報の体系も古い順から並べただけであり、それ以上何ら分類されておらず、また他の業者も同様の構成を採用しているため、体系的構成にも創作性は認められないとしたものがある（東京地裁平成１３年５月２５日中間判決・判時１７７４号１３２頁）。 - 経済産業省
