In the business of housing construction, a very high gross margin can be achieved from renovation or construction projects. It is roughly 25 percent to 30 percent. However, the gross margin from building a private condo, for example, is very small, because any business that orders a condo construction project is, of course, a professional entity. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) is also currently encouraging the industry to venture more aggressively into the housing renovation and construction business.
