For example, a presenter (accepter) is at not fault where a recipient fails to utilize the proper character codes to view the text received. Whether a notice of acceptance is in a legible condition should be determined on the assumption that the offer or intended to communicate the acceptance in a legible form. Where a notice of acceptance is contained in a file created using a specific application software (such as the latest version of a word processing package) which the offer or does not possess, and thus cannot decode into a legible form, it does not seem reasonable to require the offer or to obtain the particular software in order to read the information therein.
