As you know, the balance of loans provided to SMEs has been declining since September last year. The FSA's analysis of the situation as of June showed that the decline stemmed from the weak corporate earnings due to the high prices of crude oil and raw materials and sales-related problems, rather than a change in financial institutions' lending stance.
