Relevant ministries, agencies, and organizations, including METI, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), worked together to organize briefings and similar events in Japan and overseas to explain, among other things, the action being taken to deal with the crisis at Tokyo Electric Power’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, monitoring in Japan, and measures being taken by Japan to ensure the safety of food and industrial goods.
