Further, the drug industry is now attracting unprecedented attention, as evidenced last year by the changes in the national perception of drugs and the industry and the expectations placed on it by the government as a growth industry. Greater political correctness in corporate behaviour, an open business structure, compliance with the code of practices and other efforts to maintain the trust of the public are called for.
