As you know, it is unusual for Japan to exercise initiative and announce support for the IMF. Although Japan has various domestic problems, it is the world's third-largest country in terms of GDP. In addition, as I have sometimes mentioned, Japan is the only Asian country that has maintained a liberal economy and a free market since the latter half of the 19th century.
