If protection of an invention in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is sought by means of an international application for which the Service acts as designated Office or elected Office, the owner shall be required, prior to expiry of the time limit applicable in accordance with Article 22 or 39 of the Patent Cooperation Treaty, to pay the due national fees as if it were a national application that had been filed on the same day as the international application and to provide all information and documents that would be required in relation to a regularly filed national application. (a) The application shall be published in the IPO Gazette together with a search document established by or on behalf of the Office citing any document or documents that reflect prior art, after the expiration of eighteen months(18) from the filing date or priority date.
