Article 31-2 (1) A person operating the business of manufacturing or importing any monitoring chemical substance, any Class II Specified Chemical Substance, any chemical substance that has been publicly notified pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (4) of Article 4 (including the cases in which it is applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to paragraph (9) of Article 4-2 and the cases in which it is applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to paragraph (2) of Article 5-2), any new chemical substance to which the confirmation under item (v) of paragraph (1) of Article 3 or paragraph (4) of Article 4-2 pertains, or any chemical substance listed in the List of Existing Chemical Substances prescribed in paragraph (1) of Article 2 of the Supplementary Provisions that has been publicly notified by the Minister of International Trade and Industry pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (4) of said Article (hereinafter referred to as a "substance subject to reporting") shall, when he/she has conducted tests pertaining to the items to be tested prescribed in paragraph (7) of Article 4 or pertaining to the studies of hazardous properties prescribed in paragraph (1) of Article 5-4, paragraph (1) of Article 24, or paragraph (1) of Article 25-3 (including the cases in which knowledge equivalent to that which would be obtained from said tests [limited to knowledge that is not publicly known] has been obtained) with regard to the substance subject to reporting he/she has manufactured or imported and if he/she has obtained, as a result thereof, knowledge specified by an Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ordinance of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ordinance of the Ministry of the Environment as one indicating that the substance subject to reporting possesses the following properties, report to the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Minister of the Environment to that effect and the details of said knowledge, pursuant to the provisions of an Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ordinance of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Ordinance of the Ministry of the Environment; provided, however, that this shall not apply to the case where said person has obtained said knowledge as a result of a study of hazardous properties to which an instruction under the provisions of paragraph (1) of Article 5-4, paragraph (1) of Article 24, or paragraph (1) of Article 25-3 pertains and is reporting the details of said knowledge pursuant to these provisions:  - 日本法令外国語訳データベースシステム

(11) Where a person who submitted a written application for tax exemption of book-entry transfer local government bonds has, after submission, changed the name or address initially stated in the said written application for tax exemption of book-entry transfer local government bonds, the person shall, no later than the day preceding the day on which the person is to receive, for the first time since the date of change, payment of interest on the book-entry transfer local government bonds for which the person made entries or records under the book-entry transfer system through the specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. or qualified foreign intermediary to which the person submitted the said written application for tax exemption of book-entry transfer local government bonds, submit a written application stating the person's new name or address and any other matters specified by an Ordinance of the Ministry of Finance, to the district director prescribed in paragraph (1)(ii)(a), via the said specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. (in the case where the said specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. is a specified account management institution, submission shall be made via the said specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. and a specified book-entry transfer institution; in the case where the said specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. is a specified indirect account management institution, submission shall be made via [1] the said specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. (in the case where the said specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. makes entries or records under the book-entry transfer system regarding the said book-entry transfer local government bonds through another specified indirect account management institution, submission shall be made via the said specified book-entry transfer institution, etc. and such other specified indirect account management institution pertaining to the entries or records under the book-entry transfer system regarding the said book-entry transfer local government bonds), [2] the specified account management institution pertaining to the entries or records under the book-entry transfer system regarding the said book-entry transfer local government bonds, and [3] a specified book-entry transfer institution; hereinafter the same shall apply in this paragraph) and the person who pays the said interest, or via [1] the said qualified foreign intermediary (in the case where the said qualified foreign intermediary is a foreign further indirect account management institution, submission shall be made via the said qualified foreign intermediary (in the case where the said qualified foreign intermediary makes entries or records under the book-entry transfer system regarding the said book-entry transfer local government bonds through another foreign further indirect account management institution, submission shall be made via the said qualified foreign intermediary and such other foreign further indirect account management institution pertaining to the entries or records under the book-entry transfer system regarding the said book-entry transfer local government bonds) and the foreign indirect account management institution pertaining to the entries or records under the book-entry transfer system regarding the said book-entry transfer local government bonds), [2] the specified book-entry transfer institution pertaining to the entries or records under the book-entry transfer system regarding the said book-entry transfer local government bonds, and [3] the person who pays the said interest. From August 16 to 21, I went on a business trip to the United States. As already reported in brief at the informal gathering with Cabinet ministers today, I visited Washington D.C. and New York, where I met with Federal Reserve Board (FRB) Chairman Ben Bernanke, Treasury Under Secretary Lael Brainard and the President’s economic advisor Paul Volcker, just to name a few. It was against such a backdrop in the United States that the first radical financial reform legislation in 80 years was established very recently. I asked others during my stay in the United States as to whether it amounted to a change comparable to the Copernican Revolution, and some Americans responded that it was indeed that kind of change. The major global financial trend is changing in the United States, the leading country of finance. Article 132-10 (1) In the case of a petition or any other statement to be filed or made in the procedures for civil suits (hereinafter referred to as a "petition, etc."), which shall be filed or made, pursuant to the provisions of this Code or other laws and regulations concerning such petition, etc., by means of a document, etc. (meaning a document, a transcript, extract, authenticated copy or duplicate of a document or a duplicate of a bill or note, or any other paper or other tangible object on which information recognizable to human perception such as characters and shapes is stated; the same shall apply hereinafter) to the court specified by the Supreme Court (including one filed or made to the presiding judge, authorized judge, commissioned judge or court clerk of such court), notwithstanding the provisions of said laws and regulations, as provided for by the Rules of the Supreme Court, the petition, etc. may be filed or made by means of an electronic data processing system (meaning an electronic data processing system wherein the computer (including input-output devices; the same shall apply hereinafter) used in the court is connected, by way of telecommunication lines, to the computer used by the person who files or makes the petition, etc. or person who receives a notice of a disposition under the provision of Article 399(1); the same shall apply in Article 397 to Article 401); provided, however, that this shall not apply to a petition, etc. on the demand procedure where a petition for demand for payment is filed or made by means of a document.  - 日本法令外国語訳データベースシステム
