原義は「外への(空間と時間の)広がり、引き出すこと」。1.物を(力を用いて無理やり)「引き出す、引き抜く」、2.(今まで分からなかった)情報を「引き出す」(結論を引き出す場合は、draw を使う)、3.化学的な方法で「物質を抽出する」という意味で使う。
