This Act lays down the rules required for implementing the following acts of the European Union: (a) Council Regulation (EC) No. 40/94 of 20 December 1993 on the Community trade mark; (b) Council Regulation (EC) No. 510/2006 of 20 March 2006 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs; (c) Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1898/2006 of 14 December 2006 laying down detailed rules of implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 510/2006 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs. (d) Chapter III of Regulation (EC) No. 110/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 January 2008 on the definition, description, presentation, labelling and the protection of geographical indications of spirit drinks and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1576/89; (e) Chapter IV of Council Regulation (EC) No. 479/2008 of 29 April 2008 on the common organisation of the market in wine, amending Regulations (EC) No. 1493/1999, (EC) No. 1782/2003, (EC) No. 1290/2005, (EC) No. 3/2008 and repealing Regulations (EEC)No. 2392/86 and (EC) No. 1493/1999. - 特許庁

In order to adapt characteristic elements of service models offered in Japan into service models applicable to international localized markets, businesses must differentiate service models applicable to specific countries and service models applicable only in Japan (categorization based on applicability after discounting Japanese consumers tacit understanding of “appropriate” service models.(i.e.de-contextualization)). This may be achieved by gathering information based on the status of local markets and also on individual customer feedback. Many countries agree with this argument but think that the strengthening of regulation should be discussed after the global financial system has been normalized. Like Section 301 of the US Trade Act, the TBR is intended to promote the opening of foreign markets, but differs in some aspects. First, its scope is limited to trade practices for which international trade rules establish a right of action. Second, there is no rigid time frame between the initiation of an investigation and a determination, and the EU is bound by the findings of the dispute settlement procedures. The EU regime seems more consistent with the DSU. We can hardly say that this regime itself constitutes a “unilateral measure” prohibited by the DSU. In May 2007, Abe, then prime minister of Japan, to overcome serious environmental pollution and oil crisis, presented a proposal called “Cool Earth 50,” addressing climate change with long-term strategies in reducing global greenhouse gas emissions.
